Biography

Miles Long® (born November 4, 1968 in San Francisco, California) is an AVN Award winning and AVN Hall of Fame pornographic movie director, actor, cinematographer, photographer and producer. He entered the adult film industry in 1998. Between 1998 and 2005, he worked primarily as an actor. Long met and married Shay Sights in the 90s. After becoming one of the most popular feature dancing acts on the feature dancing circuit, they decided to enter the adult film industry. Long began performing in 1998 and his first scene was in Northern Sights with his ex-wife, Shay Sights. His more well known appearances include: Joey Silvera's Service Animals 4 featuring Long and Jenna Haze in her first ever scene in the adult business; Acid Dreamz where he joins Nikita Denise and Manuel Ferrara in a DP and a pre-nominated AVN award performance for 'Best Sex Scene' with Nikita Denise in Lost Angels: Nikita Denise. In 2003 he moved behind the camera. His later work for New Sensations, Third Degree Films and Zero Tolerance Entertainment has garnered numerous accolades, 32 AVN award nominations, an Empire Award nomination, a 2011 TLA Raw Award nomination for Director of the Year, 9 X Biz Awards nominations, including: 3 Director of the Year nominations, 2 Urban X Awards nominations and 7 awards: a 2011 Urban X Award for Best Couples Scene, his 2012 induction into the Urban X Awards Hall of Fame, 4 AVN Awards: a 2009 AVN Award for Best MILF Release for The Cougar Club, a 2010 AVN award for Best All Sex Series for Addicted, his 2011 induction into the AVN Hall of Fame, a 2012 AVN award for Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release for Nylons 8 and his 2012 induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame.

Film Career

From 1999 to 2003, Long worked primarily as an Actor. He successfully made the transition behind the camera as a Cameraman, DP, Photographer, Director and Producer in 2003. He intitally started as an assistant director for Jill Kelly Productions. He then began working as a cameraman and director of photography for Michael Ninn. In 2005 became the head of production for X-Worx. In 2006 he began working as a director for New Sensations, and in 2008 he began to direct for Third Degree Films and Zero Tolerance Entertainment. His acheivements include 32 AVN Awards nominations, 9 XBIZ Award nominations, an Empire Award Nomination, and Urban X Award and 4 AVN awards. These include: 'Best Videography' and 'Best All Girl Series' in 2006; 'Best Director' and 'Best All Sex Release' in 2007; 'Best High Definition Release' and 'Best High End All Sex Release' in 2008; 'Best Gonzo Release', 'Best Foot Fetish Release' and 'Best Foot Fetish Series' in 2009; 'Best Vignette Series', 'Best Foot/Leg Fetish Release' and 'Best MILF Release' in 2010; 'Best Specialty Series', 'Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release', 'Best Older Girl/Younger Girl Release', 'Best Gonzo Release' and Director of the Year - Body of Work in 2011 and have culminated in 4 AVN Awards, an Urban X Award and an XRCO Award. He received an AVN Award for 'Best MILF Release' for The Cougar Club in 2009, another for 'Best All Sex Series' for Addicted in 2010, his induction into the 'AVN Hall of Fame' in 2011, a 2012 AVN Award for Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release for Nylons 8, a 2011 Urban X Award for Best Couples Scene, and his induction into the 'XRCO Hall of Fame' in 2012. In 2011 he appeared in LIFE magazine, trademarked his stage name and successfully litigated against a company that used his stage name to market a product without his permission. In 2012 he participated in the first ever live broadcast by AVN for the Virtual AEE show, and was inducted into borth the XRCO Hall of Fame and the Urban X Awards Hall of Fame. He has made a point to branch out into Mainstream TV and Film, as well as both Mainstream and Men's magazines. He is the industry's only Steadycam owner/operator and has shot a wide variety of subject matter including: SWAT team competitions, Ultimate Fighting events, music videos, motorcycle stunts and television shows. In addition, he has had layouts and photos appear in numerous magazines including: MAXIM, AVN, Club, Club International, Hawk, High Society, Hustler, Cheri, MILFs in Heat and Spicy Latinas, to demonstrate that his abilities as a Cameraman, DP, Photographer, Director, and Producer aren't limited to filming lovemaking.
